I wish to learn vietnamese because I'm going to be joining a family of vietnamese in the future, and I would like to learn this language not only to impress them with taking the time for learning their native language. They would also be more accepting of me since I am not of their race. It would also be a plus because they're vietnamese people in my region, but no school. I'm currently a beginner but I have been using some 'teach yourself' programs and can understand some basic vietnamese. I would like to dedicate at least 30 minutes to an hour of lesson time. For the qualities of the teacher, just patience. And I'll do my best this means a lot to me.

I am a beginner in Romanian and my native language is English. I am trying to find a private tutor so that I can try to speak fluently so that I may find a job in Romania. I am very interested in Romanian culture and would like to learn as much as I can about the people.

My proficiency level is beginner. I am wanting to learn the language becasue I plan to visit India at the end of the year 2004. As far as time to dedicate that would be 4-6 hours a week online, and then there would be additional time offline.
