I have come to Mumbai on a work-contract in the film-industry for one year. My work and interest in languages requires me to find a private tutor on a daily basis. In my job I often have to communicate with people in the light-departm ent who do not speak english.
I am a beginner in Hindi. I have tried to grasp basic words and get an idea of the grammar while working but I need to combine this with professional language-less ons.
I have studied english, french and spanish which I speak fluently. I have a good knowledge of grammar in latin languages. In the beginning I would like to have daily private lessons. The theme of the lessons should be connected to my specific work. I am looking for a teacher who speaks several languages and who is capable of comparing hindi grammar with the grammar of latin languages. I am a devoted student with a good ear for languages. Learning languages is one of my favourite challenges in life which is the reason why I want to learn hindi, being a swedish person. I also find it stimulating to learn hindi in India since the reward from the people when I try to speak is great and filled with smiles.

I have just arrived in Mumbai with no Hindi experience. Right now I am not yet working, so I have a flexible schedule. I am affiliated with the Consulate, so I will be here in Mumbai for about 2 years and feel it would be a shame not to learn Hindi during my stay. I need a teacher with a good grasp of the English language and Indian culture as well as teaching skills. I am open to a group class or private lessons and could probably find others from the United States who would be interested in evening classes here in Mumbai.

I am an English Philosophy graduate interested in learning Hindi to enable me to better communicate during a volunteering placement in India this summer.
As yet i have no knowledge of Hindi but am looking to improve as much as possible over about two weeks from the 12th to the 23rd of July. The amount of time i would wish to devote to lessons would vary on whether it is one-to-one or group lessons that are on offer.
I would like an experienced and able teacher to help me learn this very tricky language!
