I want to learn Mandarin as it is of much interest to me, I went to Hong Kong for 4 months and went for lessons there, it was a beginners' course and I thouroghly enjoyed it. I would like to learn it for my career one day too. I would like to learn how to speak the language, reading and writing is not nesissary for me. I want to go for as many lessons per week as possible so that I can practice more often. I want to have a competent teacher who can provide the training I need.

I am English-speak ing, but I need to start learning Bulgarian as I am marrying a Bulgarian and we will be visiting his family in Bulgaria every few years. I would like to be able to communicate with him and his family in their language, and when we visit the country I would like to be able to understand public signs, etc. I need lessons in vocabulary, conversation, and grammar, perhaps once or twice a week, depending on how long the lesson is. I am a serious learner, so I will try to work hard. I am looking for a teacher who is friendly and kind, but strict so I can be disciplined to improve. I would also like my teacher to be able to teach me first what I need to survive and then systematicall y build up my understasndin g of grammar etc.
