I did German for the leaving cert. and then neglected it for a time, so I'm between beginner and intermediate. I want to learn German out of my own interest. As I would like to be able to speak it fluently I need improvement in all areas. Either a half-hour or hour lesson per week. I'm an able student and I require an able teacher.

I am looking for a teacher of Modern Standard Arabic to help me prepare for the Leaving Certificate exam in June 2006.
I would mainly be interested in reading aloud the two set novels ('The Days' by Taha Hussein and 'The Wedding of Zein' by Tayeb Salih)whilst having my pronunciation corrected (my reading of unvowelled texts is poor), grammar points explained and the text translated as we go along. I would be studying quite a bit outside of class and would then use the teacher to explain anything I had come across during the week that I didn't understand.
I am looking for a teacher who is able to speak to me in Modern Standard Arabic rather than a dialect and whose English is good enough to explain grammar points and is enthusiastic during lessons and expects me to work hard. I would be interested in two hours per week of lessons dependant on price.
