Hi-
We are looking for a Mandarin teacher for our 6 year old daughter. She has had one year from at the Chinse Language School of Connecticut. We just moved to Atlanta and have been unable to find a class for children her. 3 Other moms have expressed interest as well, although their children have had no experience... but our daughter doesn't member much so a class would be possible.
Our goal is to start her ASAP with someoone who has experience teaching non-native beginmners who are children and can make it a fun experience. She LOVED her classes, Chinese New Year, etc. (playing bingo in Chinese was her favorite thing!)If a class forms, then it can meet at our house, but we want to start 1 on 1 as soon as possible, as she can hardly remember tones, family names, etc. and we don't want her to 'lose' everything she learned We live off of West Paces Ferry Road in Buckhead. I'm a beginner and started trying to teach myself Russian. I hit a roadblock because I feel like I really cant pronounce anything and I'm confused with the grammar. I would like to learn every aspect of the language. My grandparents are from the Ukraine and Russia and I thought it would be a fun language to learn. I would like to go to Russia one day and be able to communicate. I would like to spend one or 2 hours a week with somebody that teaches in a creative way to help me understand easily. I get very bored very quickly so I need someone interesting to keep my attention. I would like my teacher to be friendly and encourage me. As well as someone that can help keep me on track by giving me assignments. I really have wanted to learn this language for a few years now. I have taught myself little things like the alphabet and some words and phrases but I feel like nothing sticks in my head. And, I would like someone to keep me practicing.
