I'm a beginner in Mandarin. I've taken some classes here and there but I couldnt keep it consistently.
I want to learn Mandarin because I'm sure its a important skill to learn and by learning it, will help me a lot in all aspects of my life. Not to mention, I like Jay Chou's music but I dont understand anything. :)
I feel I need work on my pronunciation and my grammar.
As of July 2009, I'd dedicated around 4 hours a day working on it.
I am hoping to look for a teacher who knows what he or she doing and is passionate about teaching and for his or her students to learn mandarin.

Hi,
I am a beginner in Russian. I have learnt the basics from my boyfriend and his family who are from Moscow. I am learning Russian because a lot of his family does not speak english. We have been together 5 years and are planning on getting married and I think I should know enough Russian to get by with his relatives at the wedding.
I need a lot of improvment in conversation. I have started to be able to read Russian writing however.
I am looking to take a class at least once a week. I wass wondering if you had any classes for that or if there were any running over the summer.
