Proficiency level: beginner. Know a few hundred words and am currently learning the alphabet.
I want to learn the language because I live in Detroit and there are a great number of people in this area that speak Arabic. I look at it as a challenge. It should be fun.
I have no written skills at this point, but am more interested in learning to speak the language first.
I could spend a few hours a week learning.
I would need someone to teach me that has some patience as I am a beginner but they should know that they would not be wasting their time as I am determined to learn the language.
