I know very little French. Only what i learned in elementary school and grade eight. Most of which I have forgotten. I am planning a trip in February to work in Paris for 1 month in a night club atmosphere. I am also a fashion Designer and hope to network and make some contacts in the fashion world while I am there. I need some basic conversationa l French. French: I can read French tolerably well (intermediate or better), but I need a lot of work in speaking and listening comprehension .
German: I have taken classes in the past, so I used to be at about intermediate level, but that was years ago. With a little refresher I think I would be back at intermediate again.
Rus sian: Same as German, I was at intermediate level, but I've been lazy and haven't practiced so I'm very rusty.
I would like to improve any of these language in preparation for international work. Most of all, I think I need conversationa l practice.
I can devote a maximum of 2 hours/day to classes (not including homework), in the evenings after work. This depends on fees and class location, of course.
I am looking for teachers who will challenge me. I am a fast learner, so I often get bored in regular classes! Of course, I am also looking for a teacher who will make learning enjoyable. I am an avid reader in English, and would like to be one in the other languages too, so someone who enjoys literature and uses it in their lessons would also suit me.
I am currently taking classes at Alliance Française in Vancouver, but I am seeking to switch to one-on-one tutoring or small classes (not more that 5 students). I am tired of being stuck, bored, in large classes that go at the pace of the slowest student!

I am looking for a teacher who can give me private lessons. I am currently working in the Prime Minister's Office of Canada and frequently meet with govt officials from Spanish speaking countries. I am also in the process of applying to phd programs in intl relations and would like to learn a third language for my future career plans. I would be willing to take lessons both Saturday and Sunday or perhaps one work day per week at night. I would especially like my teacher to be challenging and encourage active conversation as well as lessons (i.e. grammar homework etc)
