I am a beginner. I know the alphabet and can read and write it but I know very little vocabulary and grammar. I am a freshman in college and I am currently attempting to engage in a university supported independent study of Korean: My college does not offer Korean.
I am looking for someone to be my mentor and keep tabs on my progress. 'In person' lessons, though preferred, are not necessary. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi! I have been trying to learn arabic from books and tapes for a few months and I am interested in a few private lesson to help me to learn more quickly. I am a mature woman (38) and I am a university professor (in philosophy). I would like a teacher from Egypt as I would like to learn the Egyptian dialect. I am basically a beginner still but I have learned the Arabic alphabet and some vocabulary from cassette tapes and books. The reason I am interested in learning Arabic is that my fiance is from Egypt. I also think it is a beautiful language. I am staying in central Philadelphia (near Rittenhouse square) for the next few months with my brother, but I normally live in New Zealand.
