I have currently just started my 5th year at school, and am wanting to take a year out next year before I go to University. In this year I am intending to study Mandarin Chinese.
At University I am wanting to study International Business and I feel that being able to speak some Chinese will benifit me in my future career.
I am looking for a full-time (or more or less full time) class for beginners situated in Glasgow where I can learn Mandarin Chinese after I finish my 5th year at school.
If you are/will be running or even know of a class that fits my discription it would be most appreciated if you could contact me as I am having great difficulties finding a suitable course.

Looking for a native qualified chinese (mandarin) teacher for an academy in Madrid (Spain). -The levels will go from beginners to advanced. The majority of the pupils will be Chinese children living in Spain, some with oral knowledge and others no, but the parents want them to be able to read and write in their mother language. Businessmen from all different fields. Some classes in the academy others in the companies. For a start perhps 1 to 1.5 hours a week depending on the demand. The person who applies must be able to handle levels from beginners to advanced bearing in mind that the vast majority of the pupils will be young children.

I studied eight semesters of Mandarin in college, but need to improve my language abililty for possible employment in Beijing after I finish my master's degree. I also need to pass a language proficiency test as part of my degree. I've studied and taught English in Beijing, but right now, my Chinese ability is not very good. I would like to work on conversationa l Chinese, reading, and writing, with an emphasis on business. I would like to donate one or two days a week to studying Chinese, and am looking for a tutor who is patient, understanding , and has high expectations for students.
