I am really interested in learning thai language. I have been working as a tourist guide about tree years and the most of that time in Thailand. Right now I am working in Beijing, but in the future I am interested in getting a work from Thailand and living there. I think learning the language would make my life in Thailand so much more easier and open new career options for me.
I am looking for a teacher for lessons about 2 times in a week and for about 6 months. I am a beginner with a very limited knowledge about the language. I would like my teacher to be native speaker of thai and to have very good english.

i am married to a thai national and we have a child together.Ther efore i would like to be able to talk with her familly without having to get my wife to translate. i know some sentences and have a small thai vocabulary but wish to be able to have a fluent conversation with a thai person.at the moment i have no desire to be able to read or write only to talk.

I have been having an hours lesson a week in London + homework. What I need is to be have a one to one thai conversation buliding on my current vocabulary & grammar. My tutor wants me to learn the thai alphabet & to read thai. Whereas I just want to be able to have simple conversations & understand what is being said to me!

Hello, I am a male-to-femal e transsexual and I will be having surgery in Thailand in December, 2010. I will be there for 6 weeks. Furthermore, I am curious about Thai culture in general, and imagine a continued interest in visiting. I have essentially no background in the language, though I have been trying to learn some on the computer and from a book. My goals are to be able to have enough communication skills to get around, and also to establish the sincerity of my interest and intentions. I would gladly attend 1 or 2 classes/lesso ns per week, for all the time I am in town between now (April) and December. I will, however, be out of town now and again during the summer, visiting my partner in Canada. I would be most comfortable with a female who was comfortable with me as an American transsexual - which is different from a Thai transsexual (for starters I am married to and in love with a woman, and we have a family of 4 children). I am retired and will be able to practice and study frequently. I live in downtown Seattle, right near the Pike's Market, and would prefer to be able to walk to my lessons.
