Hello , my name is Agnes and I'm a beginner in Japanese. I'm interested in learning Japanese because I love the language and the culture seems fasinating. I would like to use Japanese for future career purposes. I'm a begginer, so I just started trying to teach myself, which is just not working out for me. I'm seeking a teacher willing to show me step by step in order to understand what I'm doing. So, I dont know much of anything, everything just seems confusing to me. I am a student how just graduated High School in June 2008 who is currently not attending college this year for personal reasons. So, I'd say my dedicated time for learning is seriouse and flexible.

I am at beginner level but I have a proficency of basic words and the alphabet. I would like to work in the deaf and hard of hearing education field and am planning on taking it up in graduate school but would like to start learning the language now. I am between beginner and intermediate. I lived in Thailand 2 years ago and could speak alright, but can't read or write very well.
I am learning Thai because I want to live and work in Thailand again and my graduate program requires me to learn a language.
I need help with grammar because I learned casually in Thailand. I know a fair amount of words, but I can't always put them together right. Ideally, I would like to pass a government exam.
I would like to dedicate to 1 lesson per week (more if less expensive) and will practice every night at home. I will be in Thailand over the holidays and will be taking a class there as well.
I would like homework. I would like for my teacher to assess my skills and teach me in all 4 areas of language learning. Like I said, I want to be able to pass the government exam. Also, I am in public health and would like to learn some health-relate d terms and customs.
