I am now living in Lahore and prior to this was travelling in India for 5 months now. I have been studying Urdu throughout this period. First of all in Dharamshala and then for a longer period in Landour Language School in Dharamshala and hten again in Lucknow. The reason I am studying is because my father is Pakistani, from Lahore and I have a large family here. I am making very good progress with the language and would describe myself as being of intermediate spoken level although I am currently trying to learn the script. I know the alphabet but little more. I will learn this before I arrive in Lahore. I am extremely keen to find a good teacher in Lahore as soon as possible. I will stay for at least 4 or 5 weeks and maybe more. Please provide me with as much information as you can as I would like to arrange a teacher before I arrive. I will live with my family in the Karim PArk area. I am most interested in improving vocabulary and grammar but an all round knowledge of the language is what i really want so I can speak with my family properly for the first time. I look forward to hearing from you.
