Hello. I am a mature professional person with some moderate past experience in Spanish education.... having done an immersion course in Costa Rica and several short courses in Toronto, the most recent of which was in the autumn of 2004.
My current level is an probably an intermediate 1, and I do feel rather rusty.
I would like to learn for both personal and professional reasons, and will be spending time with some professional health projects in South America. Two hours per week is my availability for time for the lessons, and I would like private lessons or lessons with only 1-2 others maximum.
T he areas needing improvement are fairly general, including vocabulary and a desire for general conversationa l ability.
A native latin american teacher with humour, patience and an encouraging, friendly manner with some flexibility about times and location is preferable.

I am very eager to learn another language. I wanted to be a part of UN and it is one of the requirements that the applicant should be fluent in Spanish or French, and it would definitely be an edge if one could speak Arabic, Russian, etc. (cannot remember the whole list). I can only dedicate my time during weekends. As to the kind of professor, I would like to have a teacher who would be very patient of me. The regional accent is a big impediment for me to really pronounce some words with the appropriate tone.

I studied spanish in high school. I also learned from my mexican friends and families. I have not used spanish in a while and have forgotten a lot of words. My husband and I visited Puerto Rico. It was beautiful. We love it there. We also love their spanish dialect. We have been searching for someone to teach us spanish. We only want to learn the Puerto Rican dialect. We do have Puerto Rican friends, but because of different schedules, it is hard to set times to meet. We are hoping to find someone who can help us.
