Hello,
I am interested in learning Turkish, having visited Istanbul and Kas 3 times this year. I am interested in learning conversationa l Turkish first and then if I move towards living in Turkey, I would like to learn how to write it. I am returning to Turkey in the spring and summer of 2008.
I am looking for semi-private lessons once a week (about 1.5 hours a week) to start. I have a friend who is interested in taking the lessons with me. I would love the lessons to be fun and light, using current events, music, food and more to learn.

I know only a few greetings in Turkish, so I am definitely a beginner.
I wanted to learn Turkish to faciliate some community volunteer work that I am engaged in.
I would especially like to understand Turkish grammar since it seems so different from English, but i really need to learn all aspects of the language.
I can dedicate one night a week to language classes (plus my own personal study..) - i would prefer a setting with 2 or 3 other students.

I and my four children (aged between 6 years to 18 years) are interested in learning conversationa l turkish. We all have some working knowledge of turkish but would clearly be at a beginers level. Having school aged children, I would like the course to be in the evening or on weekends.
