My wife and I are moving to Castres to live. My French is poor, although my wife's is better. I need to improve my French quickly so that I can perform everyday tasks with confidence. This will be my primary objective when we arrive soon after 1 April. I believe that an intensive programme of perhaps five half-days every week (either one-to-one or in a small group) would be the best way to learn. All suggestions gratefully received.

I am looking to get some french lessons. I am down here in Provence working,not far from Carpentras. My french is so basic it is nearly non existent.
I would like to learn how to speak to people and simple conversations used in day to day life to begin with so I can get by a lot easier.
I dont know if there are any evening classes available but due to work commitments this would be more suitable for me. I would like to do around 2 hours a week to begin with and see how it goes.
