I am totally a beginner, I know only the very basics, like some gender rules, greetings and the basic conjugation of ser, estar, tener... I want to learn spanish because I will have a job in Madrid in a few years (hopefully), therefore I would like to reach a good level of speeking/list ening. Writing and reading are also to be improved though. I would like to pass any language exams/levels available as I improve, for my job training records. I like this language, and seems closer to my native language than english. What I learned so far was not too difficult, but I did it by myself, so I might be wrong... I like it anyway, and I could spend my entire day with learning spanish if I found someone to have fun through learning/teac hing.

In the New Year, I am looking to learn Spanish. I am a beginner. I am from the UK orginally and I intend to move back to Europe at the end of 2005.
I would like to live and work in Spain, so I am looking to start learning the basics of all aspects of the language...gr ammar and converstaion for both social and business situations.
Initially, I would like to have one lesson a week, preferably at my home, which is in Midtown. The lesson will have to be in the evenings, after 6pm, during the week. Anytime at the weekends. As progress is made, I may decide to increase the number of lessons per week.
Pref erably, I am looking for a native Spanish speaker, who is proficient in the English language also. The teacher must be capable of structuring lessons, which build on my progress and strengths, but also address weaknesses that are identified during the learning process.
A strong emphasis must be placed on speaking the language and my pronounciatio n.
Homework/T esting exercises is expected.
