Th e teachjer should be warm and welcoming. He should first of all understand clearly that we are scraps in chinese language. He should also make sure the mesage delivered to the student is done in a proper and more easier way.

My proficiency level is from beginner to intermediate. I became interested in learning Mandarin since my first visit to Beijing in 2001. Now I have some Chinese friends and it has been a great experience so far learning Mandarin. I plan on going back to visit Beijing next year and it would be good to increase my learning. I need improvement in every area, but would like to concentrate on conversation. I have studied some on my own and have just finished the second level of Mandarin at a local college. I would love to be able to devote a couple hours every day to learning, but I find that very hard to do. If I am able to continue taking lessons that would be a big help to me. However, cost and location is also a factor in making my choice. I am looking for a teacher that is flexible, has some great ideas for learning and able to help me improve each time we meet.
