I am an Algerian PhD student at Cambridge Uni and my brother is visiting me in the Summer for about 2 months. He has to go to France first for more than a Month (May-June-beg ining of July) to see his co-supervisor and for some PhD-related work (Computer science). I thought that it would be a good opportunity for him to come here after that and benefit from an English course. So, I have been looking everywhere, but thought that this site might be a good way for a proper search.
I would be really greatful if you could suggest any useful suggestions.
- Proficiency level: beginner. Can read and write. But difficulty in talking and listening (making sentences and conversation difficult).
- Why learning your foreign language: for interest, but also because of future conferences (most of them in English speaking countries), and also want to sit the TOEFL/IETLS exam.
-The areas in which you feel you need particular improvement: conversation, listening.
-How much time you want to dedicate to your language lessons: As much time as possible (from 16/07 to end of August).
-What qualities you are looking for in your lessons or in your teacher: small classes (2,3-6), a teacher who speaks perfectly English (preferential ly English native). If the teacher can speak a bit of French/or Arabic (at least for the begining, to ease the conversations )that would be brilliant, but this is not an requirement.
