I know only a lil bit of tagalog. im a filipino and dont even know my own language! ive tried and been sooo anxious. the more i wayte the moore anxious i become. basically in conversation is wat i want 2 learn it in. just the fact that my enay speaks tagalog well, and waray waray, yet i dont know how 2, bothers me. every free minute of the day i will spend trying to learn this language. id rather spend 1- 2 years learning the language, then spending the rest of my life not knowing the language. having fun while learning and creating a close trusting relationship with my teacher are just a few qualities im interested in learning ths language. i really hope somebody can help me out.

Proficiency level: Beginner
I want to learn tagalog because much of my family and my partner speaks the language. Sometimes I feel out of the loop when I cannot understand what they are talking about. I also want to connect with the filipino culture and hopefully return to the Philippines being proficient in Tagalog.
I 'm basically starting from scratch and can only greet and thank people in tagalog. I would like to spend at least 1-2 hours per week on language lessons. I would like a tutor that has a mapped out plan for teaching the language such as lesson plans, weekly goals, etc... I cannot find a tagalog tutor in MD so I will have to settle for online communication with tutors in other states.
