Hi there,
I am a beginner at speaking portugese, i went to Brazil for Carnaval 2005 and learned only a few phrases and sayings over 3 weeks. I would like to be at an intermediate level by the time i go to Brazil in January 2006. I am learning this foreign language because i would like to make future business contacts in Brazil and i plan to travel back once a year as i have made several friends there. I have been using freetranslati ons.com to speak to them but i am not good at pronounciatio n. I need improvement in both grammar and pronounciatio n and would like to know enough to communicate. I am willing to dedicate 2-3 nights per week on portugese lessons. I would like a teacher that is patient and friendly as i am very weak with my portugese.

I am a beginner with basic understanding of German. I can follow text and some conversation but I have practically no verbal skills.
I want to learn German because my boyfriend is German and most of his family does not speak English.
M y main focus is conversation.
I am available for 1 or 2 sessions per week with a teacher.
I am not a language technician - nouns, adjectives, etc. are lost on me. I am interested in a practical approach with emphasis on oral exercises.

I speak german at a beginner/inte rmediate level. I come from a german family, and lived in the Netherlands for twelve years while growing up. I would like to expand my german skills, both for career advancement and personal development. I need improvement in all levels: grammar, conversation, volcabulary.
