I have moved to Denmark to be with my girlfriend and our new baby daughter (8 months old) and for the immediate future we will be living in Denmark. I was lucky to find a job here but even though people love speaking English to me I would love to fit in and understand the language and the culture.
C oming from England I am not very good at languages and I would class myself as a total beginner. I have picked up some words and small phrases e.g Hvor kommer du fra but I would ultimately my goal is to undstand at least 90% of Danish.
I feel I need a complete guide to reading, writing, speaking and listening!
I would love to dedicate at least 2 lessons per week last 2 hours each. Possibly in the evening or when I am home it might be possible to do during the day.
I am looking for a teacher who is patient and understanding to the English way of life. We are not born for languages!! I am looking for someone who can help me overcome my lack of confidence with Danish and to help me start using it in the real world.

The reason why I would like to learn how to not only speak; but also read and write the Danish language; is to improve my skills as a writer towards this nation. As I have always loved the Danes; I would like to write a book about their cooking...Mid dag på Danmark. As for my proficiency level...I have had the chance to speak to someone in Danish; but my efforts had been rather futile; thus improvement in all areas would be greatly appreciated. I would like to set aside, roughly an hour or two every week. I would greatly appreciate a young, patient male teacher; who will be able to teach me indepth about the language, its origins and its peoples.
