Our proficiency level is beginner and this will be our first lesson in Mandarin. We would like to concentrate on general grammar, conversation and character recognition.

Description |
My Chinese name is Xie Feng and also commonly known as Jeffrey. I live in Mauritius, a small paradise island found in the Indian Ocean. My ancestors are originated from Meixian, China. This is one of the main reason why I want to learn Chinese language. My parents speak Mandarin very well, and my father often tells me that it is a shame his son doesn't understand well the language of my culture and tradition.
I am actually 19 and will come to Montreal, Quebec, Canada in September 2004 as a university student (Concordia University). Though I can speak a bit of Mandarin and understand some basic words, I still consider myself as a beginner. Learning Chinese, Mandarin will surely bring pride to my family and certainly will open more windows in my career. I don't really know how much time I can allow myself to learn Mandarin but it seems to me that at least 3 days a week, one hour each day, would be sufficient. But still I would prefer my teacher to advise me how much time would be more appropriate to me. I will certainly asked, as teacher, a pleasant person, someone who is a teacher and at the same time a friend, and someone who will surely help me to learn Chinese effectively. I really don't know in which areas I need particular improvement, but if one day I am able to speak Chinese to my father on the phone, he will be absolutely happy. I just think that in my case I prefer to learn how to communicate first rather than how to write, so that I can show my father that he shouldn't be ashame of me anymore.

Description |
i am a beginner for learning chinese, mandarin. I executed my project work (on behalf of my company)in china for 6 months & i found that it is interesting to learn chinese and to speak chinese using pronounciatio n difference.Th is can be considered as best reason, behind i want to speak with my chinese friends in chinese. As i have little time to spare , i can spare twodays for 4 hours& one day as per your convenient hours. You can suggest me the best timings for learning which can be adjustable. I need to converse, writ e chinese so effieiently as like chinese. Ask ing me more questions to make me proficiencey & chinese pronounciatio n like chinese people can give better results, i think. He should be a good guide in learning, spea king chinese rather than a teacher.
