My boyfriend, Dan's, grandparents are Croatian and are from the island of Šolta, off the Dalmatian coast. Dan's father was also born in Croatia. Dan wants to learn the language so that he can converse better with his grandparents and feel more connected to them. The two of us are looking for a tutor who will teach both of us, at the same time, in person.
We are both beginners (Dan knows basics and I am very much an early beginner).
These lessons will be my Christmas gift to him, so I want the experience to be special and include discussions about Croatian culture along with language. I would love a friendly tutor who feels comfortable tutoring in their own home or coming to our home.
At this stage, I think we would aim for a couple hours per week, and then we will assess.

I am looking to learn Egyptian, as my partner is from there. We are going to be visiting his family again at Christmas time. I would like to be able to communicate with everyone and not have to be reliant on my partner as my interpreter. Only a few of his relatives speak English which made my last visit a little challenging.
I have tried online lessons before but as I am a visual learner not an audio one, I found this method not an appropriate learning style for me. I feel in person would be the quickest and best option. I hope any of you wonderful tutors reading this would like the challenge of trying to make this very Aussie girl somewhat more Egyptian.

I am a doctor. One day I hope to live and work in <<le monde francophone>> as there are so many interesting countries where French is spoken. I have a life long love of reading and hope to expand this to French novels. I enjoy French TV and movies and am sure that my enjoyment will be increased with command of the language.
I have three children and hope to pass the love of language and learning to them.
I begun my journey with French 8 months ago with the online applications duolingo. I have completed that course, and am repeating it.I have am also using 'memrise' which also seems helpful. My vocabulary is increasing and my understanding of grammar improving although still very basic. Because of my approach to date my ability to speak in French very poor, although when alone I feel and can express some basic ideas. I hope that I can find a tutor that guide my studies, and help me find ways to practice particularly my spoken French. I am a very busy person and would be hoping to spend half an hour, twice a week with a tutor, at night after my children are asleep (say between the hours of 2030 and 2200 on any given night of the week).

I have learnt some Chinese Mandarin to a early beginner level and would like to continue with this in an effort to becoming conversationa l. I'll beheading to China next year in May and would love to be able to speak some Mandarin and to read signage while getting around.
I am also spending 3 months in Nepal next year from Feb to May and would like to learn as much Nepali as possible before going.
