I am a beginner in Brasilian Portuguese and I am interested in learning this language. I am keen in the conversationa l aspect of the language as I would like to practise my spoken Portuguese (Brasilian).
I have grown to love everything about the Brasilian culture after practising Capoeira and viisitng Brasil recently.
I plan to stay in Brasil for a while and I hope to be a confident speaker of the language.

I intend to learn Latin as it was effectively the lingua Franca of the ancient world, and much of the literature from the era was written in Latin. Given my fascination for ancient roman literature, especially the foundational myths (Virgil's Aeneid), the beautiful poetry, the elegant histories (caesar's account of the roman civil war, Gallic wars etc.), the oratory of Cicero, alongside the continuation of the tradition by Western academia for centuries after the fall of Rome to write works in Latin (Newton's Principia being an obvious instance), learning Latin is unsurprisingl y of indispensable importance.
I'm merely a beginner however, having only recently considered learning Latin. However, I believe I would like to focus mainly on vocabulary as the grammar in Latin is rather formulaic and doesn't pose a major long term challenge in mastering the classics.
I wish to dedicate perhaps an hour each week or more on lessons, given my limited free time. I look for principally a teacher who shares an immense passion for classics, and one well equipped to mood students to advance from a beginner's level to a position to appreciate the historical contexts and works of Latin literature.
