I have absolutely no experience in Creole, and am trying to learn completely. I want to learn so that I can work with Haitian refugees during the current civil rights crisis and with hurricane relief victims.
I am willing to commit 10 hours a week if necessary.
S ince I am a student, I have limited money, but will meet what I have to. I can also buy lunch at my school's dining hall for each time we meet, which is actually really nice and has awesome food. I really want to learn Creole so I can help Haitian refugees, so I hope someone will want to help me! Thank you!

I am a junior at Kentucky Christian University majoring in Music Education and Intercultural Studies. I hope to travel to Haiti to teach after graduating in a few years. In the mean time I plan to travel to Haiti for several trips in order to work with some of the schools and missions in different areas. In order to more fully communicate the with Haitian citizens, I am looking into a way to learn the Creole language. At this point I know a few small phrases taught to me by children at the mission I have worked with. I have ad not formal training in Creole, but am very willing to learn. I am a full time student so I will be able to dedicate probably about an hour a week to lessons, plus practice time. I am looking for someone who is fluent in Creole and willing to work with someone in a flexible time schedule to learn the language.

I have studied three years of French in high school, but I am a bit of a beginner and I really want to learn Creole because my father is haitian but he never taught me the language. I would like to be able to converse with other Haitians that I meet. I would like to excel in everything grammar, pronounciatio n, conversation, etc.I am willing to dedicate as much time as is needed to excel in learning Creole. I'm looking for an instructor that has patience, but can also be very persistant. I am looking for an instructor who will encourage me to do and try my best so that I can become a fluent speaker of Creole.

I am interested in learning Creole because I sponsor a child in Haiti and that is her native language. Within the next few years I plan on visiting her and it would be nice for me to communicate with her. I'm not interested in the grammar aspect of the language - rather I would just like to converse. I want to be able to converse well, so I am willing to spend as much time as needed to learn the language.
Fo r my lessons and or teacher - I just want them to be kind and understanding being that I will be a beginner at the language and I also want them to see me succeed.

Hello,
I am an advanced beginner/inte rmediate student of Haitian Creole. My reading comprehension /writing is pretty good, I seek to improve my speaking and listening comprehension skills. I am seeking someone proficient in English and Haitian Creole in the Orlando area (Orange County).
I desire a teacher that will be able to construct activities that will improve my reading/conve rsational skills. I would like to dedicate 2-4 hrs per week. Must be patient, preferably with a teaching background and organized.
Someone with English/Creol e teaching aids such as books, cassettes etc, appreciated but not necessary.
Must be free during early afternoons,pr eferably on Mondays and Tuesdays, and accessible to Downtown Orlando area.
