Hello my name is Aaron Randall. I plan on attending Florida State University to pursue a degree in East Asian Studies with the language focus being Japanese. I am a beginner. I would love to learn to speak, read and write Japanese. I plan on participating in a study abroad program in Japan after acceptance into the University. I am currently very new to Japanese. I have always had an interest in the language and culture, but only now have a truly acted on it.
I will soon be starting college and plan on taking Japanese courses on campus. In a few years, I would like to study abroad in Japan and possibly major in the language.
I'd like to get a head start into understanding the basics of speaking, writing, and grammar with private lessons. I am very serious about recieving lessons and am looking for something from once to three times a week.

My proficiency level is most likely somewhere between beginer and intermediate. i am learning Japanese to advance my future dreem career as a translator. i would like to dedicate one to two hours per session to my studies. the qualities i am looking for in my language teacher are; someone who is kind and works well with their students, is helpful when problems or missunderstan dings arise, and makes the lessons interesting as well as progresive.

Hello All!
my name is Joi and I am an undergrad. college student in Houston, TX. I am very determined to japanese, but the University I attend does not offer it there as a major. Therefore, I am only able to study enough courses to fulfill my foreign language prerequisites . Spring 2008 is my last semester before my pre-req is complete. thus, i have no choice but to cease any further studying in Japanese =(
I would really love to continue learning japanese for several reasons:
1 . I believe it would be a huge aid to my major, which is Corporate Communication s.
2. I am very interested and fascinated by the culture and music.
3. I am actually a 1/4 Japanese. My father is 1/2 Japanese, but he and my mother are divorced. So i was not able to learn any Japanese while I was young.
I have been to japan several times, and i have many family and friends living there. They try helping me as well, but since many of them are interested in learning English, I am usually the one who becomes the teacher (>_<) lol I have tried to searching for private tutors here in houston, but the number of Japanese residents living here is very few... Therefore they are extremely hard to find. So I've decided to try the next best thing. 'Language-Sch ool-Teachers.c om'
