I am currently an intermediate beginner. I know the letters and pronunciation , very basic first words , months, colors, etc. My purpose in learning Arabic is that I intend to travel adn work in the Middle East. Areas for improvement are numerous as I am just at the beginning level. I can commit to devote 1/2 day to study and more as I progress. My goal is to learn classic Arabic so that I can read such as the Quran and also to be able to converse with a fair amount of fluency when I travel to Lebanon. Lessons then would be most effective which include conversation as well as interpretatio n of writing.

I am a beginner - I do not speak ANY arabic. I want to learn this language because my boyfriend is Syrian, and I would like to know the language so that I can speak it when I visit Syria with him. I would also like to know the language becuase, when we have children, I would like to speak the language with the family.
La nguages are difficult for me to learn. However, with a good teacher and my dedication, I'm sure that I can pick it up with time.

I am a recent graduate of a top-tier university and am currently seeking employment overseas in the Middle East and Asia. I have a strong desire to learn as much Arabic and Mandarin as I can in the next few months before I depart.
I seek teachers who are able to teach quickly, effectively, and conveniently. Additionally, since I have never studied either of these languages before I would like to have teachers who could devote more time to me than just an hour or two a week. Finally, native speakers are preferred (for accent coaching purposes), but I am willing to consider non-natives, as well.
