Hello,
I am a teacher for french in Toronto, but has to learn turkish for my own studies. I already learned turkish during one year intensively and I am looking for a teacher who would be able to improve my skills in grammar and in conversation, and who would give me texts to translate. I am wanting to take one or two hours per week.
I am fluent in english and german, and french naturally.

My parents live in Turkey and I have been visiting the country for severeal years. I spent a summer season working in Icmeler 8 years ago and then developed some basic Turkish skills. I have forgotten a lot of what I learnt and am keen to be able to speak, read and write upto a reasonable level. I have a small understanding of Turkish. I can get by in meeting people, ask for directions, order food, count numbers etc.
I wish to be more proficient in Turkish mainly to be able to speak in more depth with Turkish friends that I have, who have a limited understanding of English. But also I have a love of the Country, the culture and the food! and I wish to travel more around less tourist dominated area's of Turkey and feel that a greater understanding of the language would be necessary to do so.
I have tried on several occasions to self teach with linguaphonic products but lack the dedication to devote time to it and feel that with regular lessons I will be more greatly motivated.
I work in Maidenhead Berkshire 3 days per week, so I could organise to have 1 or 2 lessons per week either in the North where I live or somewhere in the South.
Ide ally I am seeking a native speaker to teach me not only how to speak, read and write correctly in Turkish, but also to educate me in 'real' Turkish (ie how to be understood by the man on the street as well as speaking 'classroom' Turkish)

I prefer to take lessons twice per week as I work full time; however, I am motivated to learn the language quickly. I would like to learn from a native Turkish speaker who also speaks English.
