I don't know very much Swedish except for a few words. My boyfriend/fut ure husband is Swedish and I really think it is important to know his native language. We will be going to Sweden every summer and I want to be able to at least communicate with his parents and sister. Then I would like to learn how to read and write in Swedish. I would like to dedicate as much time as needed to learn the Swedish language in a timely manner. The qualities I am looking for in a teacher is someone who knows the language very well and is patient and can explain things well. I would like someone nice and someone who is willing to give me lessons on the weekends.

i would like to learn Swedish. I ahve taken a few semesters 3 so i know the basics. I would like to become conversationa l. I have a friend who has a company in Sweden and I visit quite often. i would like to devote 5-7 hours per week perhaps more. I also have an isight camera (real time video conferencing)

I grew up in Uppsala, Sweden and since moving to the States in 1991, I have lost most of my vocabulary. I'd put myself at an intermeidiate level, but am confident that the practice of speaking Swedish again would quickly bring me up to an advanced level.
