I am interested in learning the Swedish language because my father is Swedish and I have friends and family there. I am a beginner and I have previously attempted to learn Swedish online and through cassette tapes and CDs. I am willing to dedicate as much time as it takes to understand and speak the Swedish language fluently. When I am able to speak Swedish, it will also help me in my profession as I work for a large international credit card issuer. The qualities I'm seeking in my teacher are patience and diligence. The lessons should be very interactive and consist of written and verbal language practice. I really hope someone will be able to assist me with my goal of learning the Swedish language.

I have a Swedish partner, & make regular trips to Sweden. Although I've picked up several text books, its never been enough to enable me to understand conversationa l Swedish - & this makes me feel isolated every time I'm in Sweden.
I am looking to learn enough to give me the option of one day seeking a job in Sweden.
The 'Catch 22' situation though is that because of lack of time, I really need an inspiring teacher to 'embed' knowledge in my mind, so I feel confident about using Swedish

Requirement s : Basic communication , so as to be able to communicate for local travel, local transport, local government, local shops etc.
How much time: About 2-3 hours per day for 3-4 weeks
What qualities am I looking for : Should focus on the basics, grammar and vocabulary with focus on spoken skills in the local accent.
