I have lived in China for 1 year and learnt a little mandarin, as i am going back around febuary 2005 to live there for good and will be starting business in China. I am an absolute beginner but I love languages and I usually learn them quite rapidly. I would meet with the teacher 2 hours a week in one session, ideally on weekends or on a midweek evenings. A native speaker, experienced and motivated would be preferrable.

I am a student studying at the Imperial College in Wye (near Ashford, Kent) and want to learn the Mandarin language. As I am an undergraduate and we have no such options on our campus here, I am writting to you and would like to ask if there is an opportunity that you, or any one you know, to give me private lessons in Mandarin. I have never spoken that language but am realy interested in doing so for my future career in business management. I am very flexible and would consider any opportunity for this to happen. Lessons on weekends, payment of up to 20£ per hour (depending on quality) and traveling (as long as in Kent) is now problem with me.
