I'm taking an elementary Japanese class this coming semester (Fall 2007). I would like to have extra help on the side. I'm planning to travel to Japan, possibly get a job there once I've completed a Master's degree in Finance. I'm most interested in conversationa l Japanese. Two hours per week is good enough. If I should need to add more times later, I will let you know.
I'm looking for a teacher/tutor who is efficient in both speaking adn writing Japanese, and who is friendly and accomodating.

I have been self-taught for about a year now. I would say I am between beginner and lower-interme diate. I am learning Japanese for personal interest and growth, and I also plan to study in Japan in 2008. I would like to use programs like Skype for live internet chatting with my teacher at least once a week. I will do my best! Ganbarimasu!

If I were to give my current knowledge of Japanese, I would say I am in the border line of beginner, and intermediate. I am better then beginner, but not to far in intermediate. My Kanji knowledge is basic,but I would like to learn more.I know Hiragana and Katakana. However, Katakana is somewhat hard for me, since I learn hiragana first. I am mostly working on grammer, verbs vocabulary, and speaking as it is right now, But I would most defiantly like to improve in all areas. Speaking, Kanji, grammer, verbs, ect.
I am learning Japanese so that I can go to Japan and teach English. Languages are my passion, and Japanese is the main language I have wanted to learn since I was little. It is a plan my cousin and I have formed that when we are done high school, we will take our ESL and such needed to go to Japan, but I thought that getting tutored will be not only a wise thing to do, but fun. I really enjoy this language and the culture.
I would love to dedicate all my time to learning this language, but I am still in high school. So anytime after school/ school activities, or the weekends is perfect.
T he qualities I am looking for in a teacher consist as follows:
I would love someone with humor and experience in what my career goal is. Someone who will make things, of corse, fun. Someone who will be patient with me, because with kanji, I have a hard time remembering them. But am getting better. So manly anyone with a sense of humor, and is friendly. (of corse, I suppose being a teacher as it is means that you have those qualities heh heh~)Plus someone who is knowledgeable about Japan its self. Also a teacher who approaches teaching in many different ways. I am good for anything! and am willing to learn! I am flexible.

I would like to learn Japanese because I work in the leather industry and my companies manufacturer is located in Japan.
