I am an Australian who has been living in Sweden for just over 1 year with my swedish fiance and working for a swedish company.
I have learned basic swedish and basic grammar via a few short courses, my fiancee's teaching and by being immersed in the culture and language on a daily basis.
How ever, I can still only engage in basic conversation in Swedish and wish to become fluent in the language over the next 1-2 years.
To do this I feel I need formal tuition, however as my time is limited I believe 1 to 1 tuition perhaps twice a week for 1-2 hours is the best solution. Hence I am seeking a qualified fluent english speaking swedish teacher who can assist me in developing my spoken and written swedish language skills.
My motivation is primariliy personal, to enable me to speak with my partners family and also to speak the language of my partner and the country I currently reside in. Also it will be of benefit for me longer term if I wish to change employment within Sweden.

I am an Advanced-Begi nner in the Swedish Language, and will be moving to Sweden in June of 2005. Therefore, I am serious about learning. I am looking for intensive learning, roughly 4-5 times a week for approximately 6-8 weeks. I would consider less-intensiv e training for 2004, but once we reach 2005, I want to be ready by having the more intesive course. I would be available to learn on weekends, and weekday evenings after 5:00.
I am seeking a native-Swede with a teacher's degree for a foreign language.

I am very interested in learning Swedish, as I have a Swedish daughter-in-l aw, expect to have Swedish grandchildren , and spend quite a bit of time in Sweden. I have picked up basic everyday expressions, but would really learn so much more. My son, who has lived there since 1995, speaks fluent Swedish, and often forgets that I don't speak the language, so I often feel isolated.
I don't know if there is anyone in Cambridge who could give me lessons - I would be very grateful to hear from someone!
I hold an Ancestry Visa, so can live in the UK indefinitely, I have been living in Cambridge for 18 months now, and work at the Cambridge Regional College.
