I was an intermediate level Chinese Mandarin student who has not used the language in over a year. I would like to increase my proficiency level in order to meet career goals within my current job. In order to do so, I feel I would need to improve my conversationa l ability and grammar skills. I would be able to devote a maximum of 4 hours face-to-face time, and several more hours self-study time per week. My instructor must have a sense of humor and patience to deal with my many questions!

I only know a few words that i picked up from a friend but really dont understand how to read wright or speak the language.
I met a student from Cluj-Napoca and we got along very well. she told me about her country and where she lived.
Since then I have become more interested in learning the language and Im also going to Romania next year and her mother doesnt speak english.
I need help in all areas
the qualities im looking for is for someone to teach me.

i want to learn this language because i might be taking a trip to japan and i dont want to not be able to speak to anybody.also alot of my friends live in japan and speak japanese but i cant talk to them very well. i am willing to spend all the time needed in order to learn this new language.im fairly good at learning languages fast.

My son is studying Russian at Langley High School. He is just beginning his second year and needs assistance. Currently, the class is reviewing grammar and vocabulary from the first year. We would like to have a tutor work with him through out the school year (now through beginning of June, 2008). I would estimate about an hour a week with the possibility of more time if needed.
