I am a beginner, having studied persian grammer, I need to spend some time learning the vocabulary. I enjoy studying languages and have many farsi speaking friends I hope to be able to converse with.

My persian is between beginner and intermediate. Because I have been living in Los Angeles for a year and most of my friends are persian I know some general things in persian, and i can understand around 30-40% of the things when people speak. I want to learn persian because I think it is very beautiful and useful language. I want to learn to write and read and mainly conversation.

I am a student at Evergreen State college in Olympia, WA, and I am hoping to pursue an individual contract study abroad program in Iran in the spring or next fall. I would like to learn enough Farsi before I embark on my journey so I will be able to get by in Iran. I am also interested in taking more advanced classes upon arrival. I am half Iranian and grew up hearing the language a little bit but I cannot speak or understand it at all.

I would like to learn to speak Persian (Farsi). I am american and my husband is from Laghman, Afghanistan and I would like to learn to speak and understand Farsi better.
