I have been studying Vietnamese for about 3 years now, so I would think my level is intermediate at the highest. I am studying Vietnamese because I am married to a Vietnamese woman from Hanoi and that I will need to work in Vietnam in the future. That is the primary reason I am learning, and I feel that I my learning has leveled off and I am in need of somebody that is a teacher as well as a native speaker. I am fairly confident in my grammar, but my conversationa l ability needs to be improved as does my listening.
The qualities I am looking for in a teacher are a strong desire to help me communicate more in Vietnamese rather than English during lessons, a clear Northern accent, and patience.
I am willing to devote any amount of time necessary each lesson, but it seems that between 1 and 2 hours would be best.

I'm a relative beginner in Mandarin Chinese. I'm conversationa l at speech and I can't write. I'm largely self-taught, and have been learning for about two years now. I'm learning Chinese for business purposes - I'd like to do consulting work for CHinese companies - but also for my own personal benefit and enrichment. I need improvement in vocabulary in aprticular, but certainly I need work in all areas. I'd like to spend 1-2 hours of live learning, and possbility another 4 hours of independent practice. I do a lot of driving, so anything I can do in the car is also great!
