I am a beginner who is interested in learning Mandarin. I am looking to learn this language because my fiance speaks this language and she is learning English so that we can be together but I would like to learn Mandarin to help us communicate even better. She currently lives in China so it is very hard for us to talk on the phone even.
I need to learn from step one on how to speak the language. I would like to spend at least a couple of hours a week trying to learn Mandarin. I am looking for someone who has patience and can relate the words easily with the English Language.

Beginner. Just got back from Dong Guan City and desire to learn Mandarin - will be traveling back to China often. Also have a 6 year old who I would love to start learning Mandarin as well. I am seeking a teacher to work with my husband who majored in Chinese at Michigan State University. He is an attorney that may be seeking employment with an international law firm. He was fluent in Chinese when he left school but has gotten a little rusty so, I am seeking a tutor to work with him in person to get him back up to speed before he interviews. I would like this to be a surprise Christmas gift to him. Ideally, this would be casual scheduling with the tutor and he deciding the amount of teaching needed and when and where to accomplish that.
My husband is very personable and lived with his Chinese professor and family during his schooling so is aware of chinese culture and manners. He would appreciate a teacher that is patient, outgoing, with a good sense of humor and timely. Thank you.
