My wife and I have adopted an 11 year old child from Thailand. She is concerned that she is losing her ability to speak Thai after 7 months in the US. She is doing very well in public school in Ohio and I expect that her English skills will improve dramatically. But her ability to speak and read Thai is frozen at the 4th grade level.
We would like to provide our daughter the opportunity to advance her Thai language skills.

My Japanese proficiency level is at the Beginner Stage.
My Thai is conversationa l but only relative to my scope of work. Day to day conversation is still a difficulty for me.
I will like to work on my Japanese conversationa l and reading skills, it will take time but I am willing to commit the effort to learn.
I am able to commit 2hrs per week for Japanese, I hope to have lots of homework so that I am able to practise on my own before each lesson.

I would like to learn Thai. Currently I only know a few words and phrases, which I learned from my two visits to Thailand. I would like to become 'conversation ally' proficient for my intended future visits to Thailand. I could devote 2 to 4 hours a week to the lessons. I do not really care about the teacher's style, as long as it produces results. :)

I have a basic knowledge of the Thai language ( greetings, numbers, colours, foods etc...) but i would like to improve to a level where i can hold conversations with native Thai speakers proficiently.
I have been travelling to Thailand regularly for 6 years and have been very taken with Thai culture and traditions. I would like to speak at a level that is above that of the average tourist.
I am prepared to dedicate one or two weekday evenings or a weekend day to my studies of the Thai language.
I drive and would be willing to travel most places within surrey to learn and i am also open to online learning although personal tuition would be my first choice. I am willing to learn in a group or alone on a 1-1 basis.
