I want to learn Portuguese in order to work in Brazil. I am a beginner currently but i would want to read, write and talk portuguese and I can spend up to 2 hours per day for learning the language. I would like to learn portuguese, not brazilian portuguese, as it was my native language and i would like to speak it properly. My husband would also like to take a course but he is an english native speaker and does not know any portuguese.
I would be fine with starting at a beginners level but would like an example of what that would entail.
We are looking to spend a couple hours a week on learning it. As for the qualities I would like in a teacher they are patient, not condescending and with a positive attitude.
