I am wanting some information on your Farsi classes. I am 23, and attend CSU Sacramento. My Farsi is VERY limited as it stands, but I am eager to learn. I speak German and have noticed many similarities as far as words are concerned; when learning a new language grammar is my major challenge. My schedule would probably only allow a few hours per week for study. I am not particularly linguisticall y gifted, so a patient teacher would be ideal. Please let me know what resources if any are available for someone my age to attend classes.

I have grown up speaking Punjabi, and I can read and write it at a basic level. I am learning Punjabi for academic reasons, because I would like to study Punjabi literature. The areas I need to focus on are increasing my reading speed and improving my grammar. I want to study Punjabi full time - about 20 hours a week. My level is somewhat low, mostly a beginner.
I want to learn this language because this is my home language, and it seems that I'm losing it as I speak more English. Also, I would really like to use this language in the future when I get more involved with other people like myself. It'll help me understand my family, and future families I wish to get to know as I grow up.
The areas I need help on are conversations and grammer, I really struggle on those and parents sometimes have a hard time understanding me.
I would like to dedicate the weekends to have my lessons. I would say 2-3 hours per day on Saturday and Sunday if possible.
In a teacher, I would say an easy going teacher that would give encouragement and that is not very strict. Just knowing the teacher enjoys what he/she does and really gives encouragement .
