I do not speak farsi; I know a few words and phrases, mainly to do with food! My parents grew up in Iran, and spoke farsi, but they were not Iranian, and it was not the language we spoke at home. I plan to visit family in Iran in the near future, and although we can communicate in other languages, I want to learn at least some farsi. I want learn it properly, including writing as well as grammar, and I realise this is a long term project. I would be willing to come to Melbourne 1 hour/fortnigh t, but can discuss other arrangements. I would like to learn in a small group, with a a well organised teacher, who is student focused.

Dear Sir ,
I live in Geelong and I am going to Iran a tourist for three weeks in October 2009 , I am 68 years young and very active & alert.
If there is enough time I would like to become fimiliar with the most popular language spoken in Iran , so as I can appreciate the people better and the county better & ask directions & order food at restaurants.I am retired and can devote as much time as reasonably required to learn as much as I can in the time frame.(12 months)
