I am interested in learning Afrikaans as I have been offered work in Botswana. I do not speak any Afrikaans but by December I would like to be able to hold a basic conversation, give and receive directions confidently.
Pronunciation and conversationa l skills are the most important things I am looking for.

I have always wanted to learn my native tongue and after finding out I can advance my career by doing it I decided to commit.
I am a beginner other then hearing the accent from my parents sense i was born.
Defi nitely need to be able to converse in the language as well as sufficient level of reading and writing.
I would like to do a lesson p.w. preferably on the weekend.
I would like it to be fun mainly I have enough university to worry about with out making this not enjoyably as well.

Hello
I'm a South African born Australian citizen and would like to practice Afrikaans conversation and reading and would like to learn from a radio presenter teacher. Grammar practice would also be useful. Regular weekly lessons of one hour, twice a week will suit me well.
