I come from a family that totally consists of Croatians.
Though unfortunately as a child my parents only spoke to me in English, and as a result i have an EXTREMELY limited understanding of the language.
Most of my relatives have to use a mixture of both Croatian and English for me to understand what they're trying to say.
I want to change this. I really want to be able to communicate with the rest of my family. Get to know who they are and their personalities .
I want to learn basics and be able to have a fluent conversation with those who i know. Reading and writing as well. Eventually i hope I can adopt it as a TOTAL second language.
I am looking for someone who can offer me all this.
This is something I have wanted for years, but have never had the time to study. Now I have the time, and now I want to learn.

My boyfriend is Croatian, living between Italy and Croatia. I need to learn with the possible intent of living there in the future.

Hello,
I am a beginner student of Croatian. I am working through Grubisic's 'Elementary Croatian 1' in my spare time.
I am interested in learning Croatian to be able to communicate freely with my family, as I plan to travel there next year.
I need assistance in grammar, conversation and vocabulary.
I would like to meet or communicate with a teacher online or over the telephone for one hour per week.
The qualities I seek in a teacher are patience and the ability to explain complicated grammar in a way that is easy to understand and remember.
