I am hoping to pick up sufficient Hindi so that I can go around in India (at least the popular cities + India's horrific traffic aside) with no problem.
Beside my native Cantonese + Mandarin, I am a near-native English speaker. I also did GCSE French, German & Latin hence I am pretty familiar with SOV language with gender + declensions.

Hindi being the widely spoken language by Indians, I want to learn the spoken language. I am from Tamil Nadu. There is no proper avenue for developing the spoken Hindi. I have passed 4 exams of Dakshin Hindi Prachar Sabha. I know to read and write. I can understand the Hindi language, so much so that, I can follow what they say. I want to be fluent in spoken Hindi. I think, only practice will help.
As for Telugu, it is my original mother tongue. since I was born and brought up in Tamil Nadu, there was no necessity for speaking Telugu. Hence I want to pick up spoke Telugu.
