i am a beginner in studying the Greek language,actu ally I don't even have any idea of that particular language.I need to learn Greek due to I need to go to Cyprus where my mother live in.I need to know how to speak and understand the language.I will dedicate my two to four hours of my day in two months.As long as my future tutor will be patient I will accept him/her.

I'm a beginner at all the languages I want to learn. There is no practical purpose for my desire to learn, really; I simply want to. However, I do see practical benefits like being able to converse with people around the world, and being able to read foreign texts in the original language. I suppose you can't truly judge Sartre's or Voltaire's or Rilke's or Homer's works if all you've read are the English translations.
