I plan to go to school in Iceland in a couple years, and I'd like to have some background in the language before I get thrown into it. I have no experience with the language at this point, so it will all be new to me. How much time I will be spending on learning will depend on how busy I will be with school in the fall, but this is important to me and I am very willing to make room for it. My goal is just to become as fluent as possible in the time that I have.

I am looking for an Icelandic Tutor. When I was in Grad school, I lived in Reykjavik for a year as part of an exchange program. I have been studying Icelandic at home ever since and I come back to Iceland every year for a visit. My goal is to become fluent in the language. I want to master grammar and become fluent enough to converse on an every day basis. I am willing to dedicate time every day to study of the language. The quality that I am looking for most in a teacher is flexibility. I want to find a tutor that will work with me on grammar as well as on conversation. I would like to use Email and Skype (or something similar). Thanks!

I am looking for someone to tutor my 5 year old son in Icelandic. I am Icelandic myself, but I have been unsuccessful in getting my son to learn the language. My husband is American and does not speak english, so I have tended to speak only english with my son.
I am looking for someone 1-2 times per week.

I would like to learn the lnguage for my own pleasure and as a jumping off point to become fluent in Old English, Low Saxon, etc. I have no fluency in Icelandic at all. My native language was Plattdeutsch but I have largely forgotten that language. I would like to learn proper pronouciation from a teacher and continue study from books, internet, etc.
