I am interested in learning Thai because my husband is half Thai and he forgot the language as a child. We now have a daughter and I want her to grow up learning my languages (Arabic, Armenian), English and Thai. I have tried to learn on my own with books, but nothing is sticking. Please help. I would love to be able to do the classes during the week in the daytime, because my daughter is in daycare at that time. I also would like to learn the alphabet. I have some understanding of it already.

My name is Ryan Mehan. I took one semester of Mandarin Chinese a couple years ago, but aside from watching quite a few Chinese movies and reading a handful of books, that is the extent of my studies, which means that I am very much a beginner. My interest in this language is both personal and professional. I hope to travel all over China some day, maybe even live there. I know too that there are
Chinese speaking communities throughout Asia and all over the world. On a more serious note, I am currently a medical worker for the Navy and I hope to become a nurse back in San Francisco some day. Knowing Mandarin will greatly help my career both in and out of the military.

I have lived with two Turkish men for over 3 years, and still cannot understand them when they speak Turkish. Therefore, I am a beginner. I have a strong accent for english language. I need help in all areas. I feel perhaps learning alittle more coversation may help me. I would like to dedicate as much time as you have to learning the language. I am 39 years old, and do not work.
