I'm currently learning and interested in Swedish, Spanish, Portuguese, Esperanto, Norwegian, Icelandic, Hebrew, Arabic, Tibetan, Farsi, Tagalog, Indonesian, Vietnamese, German, French and others. I learn them for the love of language - if it benefits career advancement then that is only the cherry on top. I occasionally translate freelance form Spanish to English and Portuguese to English.

I would like to learn Basque because it was the language of my ancestors, many, many generations ago. Now with ample access to the Internet one could hear the language spoken, read the news in Euskera and get acquainted with the ancient history and customs of the Basque people.
Being completely new to the Basque language, I need to start from zero. My aim is to be able to converse in Euskera and be able to read and, eventually, write in this language as well. My mother tongue is Spanish.
T he amount of time I could dedicate to the study of Basque is about four hours a week.
My language tutor should have enough knowledge to be a teacher of Basque and passion for teaching Euskera. I would prefer to have a native speaker as a tutor and that he or she had access to the Internet and Skype, but is only a preference. My tutor’s age is not relevant.

This would be for my daughters and I, we are all 3 beginners. We would like to learn the language because my husband is Basque and his family live in the Basque country. We need improvement in all areas. One to two hours a week we would be able to dedicate to tutoring and then one to two hours on our own. We would like a teacher who can work with kids.
