Hello!
My name is Allyson (I prefer 'Ally', though) and I'll be starting college in Calgary this fall. After graduation I want to go teach English in Japan for a few years, however I would love to know Japanese so that I can make friends while I'm there!
I'v e already been learning some Japanese online, but I've had no conversation practice and still have a lot to learn. I'd say I'm somewhere between beginner and intermediate level right now.
Also, because I'll have class almost every day, lessons will have to be on weekends or in the evenings.

I would like to learn spanish for both career advancement and for travel/life goals. I am planning on moving to South America for work in 2012 and would like to be conversant in Spanish. I have basic travel Spanish at the moment.
I would like to have 2 to 3 classes per week (1 hr per class).

Hi there
I am English speaking and I work as a nurse in the NE of Calgary. Most of the clients are Punjabi speaking. I would love to learn their language to be a more effective nurse and to make them feel cared for that someone wants to take the time to learn their language.
I am a beginner.
Gr ammar, conversation.
I could probably dedicate 2-4 hours or more a week to my lessons.
I would prefer someone who teaches is patient and has good english, and preferably a native speaker.

I think it is important to learn different languages as it would be a great asset for my career and traveling. I also want to learn French and Chinese as they are part of my heritage.
I would like to improve on all areas of the language but conversation would be the most essential. I have had previous education in Mandarin and French.
As for time, I think 1-3 hours a week would work.
I would like a teacher that offers private lessons.
